Dear IACEE Colleagues,
The IACEE web pages are just one method for how our organization communicates with each other. I strongly encourage each of you to reach out using the member listing, participate in our projects and special interest groups, and attend IACEE events.
The next World Conference on Continuing Engineering Education will take place Oct 16-19, 2010 in Singapore. As part of five engineering organizations comprising students, deans, industry and continuing engineering education organizations, this proves to be a once in a lifetime event. I encourage all of you to plan on attending and participating in the lively discussion focused around two critical themes: renewable energy and clean water supplies. As engineers, we can work together to solve these global societal challenges and our conversation during the conference will set in place an action plan to do so. Please visit the WCCEE website and the World Engineering Education Forum website that provides more description about the activities during this week.
I invite you to read the IACEE draft strategic plan. We are in the process of defining our direction over the next 5 years and your input is very input in this process. Please contact any member of the Council with your input.
There is much excitement within IACEE and I encourage each of you to become invovled. You receive ten-fold more than the time you give, so please participate. I look forward to your comments and suggestions.
Kind regards
Nelson Baker,
IACEE President
